But more than being prepared with things, I've wondered how to prepare myself to have the strength to deal with not only the physical danger, but the economic repercussions of this pandemic. As I've spent the last two days listening to inspired men and women give their counsel, these thoughts have impressed me:
- If ye are prepared ye shall not fear
- God is aware of our challenges and loves us. We are not alone.
- If we repent and seek to hear Christ, He will, through the Holy Ghost, illuminate our mind, giving us our own personal revelation, so that we will know what we should do.
- Our suffering is an opportunity to come to know Christ and build our faith in Him.
- Christ can bring comfort to our souls.
- Though the power of the atonement of our Savior, He can mend all that we have broken and heal us if we are willing to change and become more like Him.
- No matter what happens in this life, we can still continue to progress as our life continues in eternity.
- God still has the power to perform miracles.
- As we have faith in Jesus Christ, a desire to change, and strive to live His commandments, the Holy Ghost gives light to our mind and heart.
- Reflect on God's goodness to us; on our own personal blessings and on the greater blessings of the restoration of the true nature of God and the opening of the heavens to give revelation to man.
- The Book of Mormon connects us to the Holy Ghost and helps us come to know our Savior.
- We can have the strength we need to face trials and the power to become more like Christ if we immerse ourselves daily in the scriptures, pray for help, live the commandments, and keep our covenants.
- When men and women work together in true unity, we can have power from God to accomplish great things to prepare for the Second Coming of Christ.
- Temple covenants can unite the entire family of God.
- Through faith in Christ and His atonement, our homes can be a sanctuary of peace even in a darkening world.
- Faith is the antidote to fear. Hope is the antidote to despair.
- Christ is the source of all joy and peace.
