What do members of The Church of Jesus Christ do in their temples?

When I saw this video, I knew I needed to post it. Not only does it show the beauty of the inside of the Rome Italy temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but apostles of the Lord also explain the ordinances that are done in the different rooms of the temple. The video shows you the baptistry, instruction rooms, the bride's room (a special room for me), marriage sealing rooms, and the celestial room (my favorite). In each room the apostles explain what is done there and the eternal significance of this ordinance.

Though each temple of the Church has different touches which reflect the history and culture of the local area such as using a flower common to that local in the decorations, all temples have the same rooms and the same ordinances are done in every temple.

Temples are a place of peace, a place where we can regain an eternal perspective of life. It is a place where we can make promises to God which enable us to receive His help in becoming more like Him so that we can return home to live with our Heavenly Father someday. A temple is the closest place on earth to heaven. It is God's house.
