What Do I Feel about the New Ministering Program Announced in General Conference?

What do I feel about combining priesthood quorums in wards and about the new ministering program? Excited! I feel that we are being asked to raise to a new level, and that we are being helped to become people who will prepare the way for the Savior's second coming.

I know there will be some who wonder how I can "blindly" follow the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I don't wonder. I know I could never blindly follow anyone, but I'm not expected to simply follow. All members of The Church are encouraged to gain their own testimony of what changes the Lord wants to happen. This means
that each person is encouraged to study, ponder, pray, and live the commandments of God, so they will be able to receive their own revelation, their own confirmation, on what the Lord wants done. It is through inspiration from God that we become united, so we can wholeheartedly and enthusiastically support changes within the Church.

For many years I have read the scriptures trying to learn the principles of the Gospel, and I have tried my best to be a disciple of Christ. I have observed priesthood quorums and seen the strengths and weaknesses in the Home Teaching and Visiting Teaching programs. When the changes were announced, I felt the Holy Ghost giving me a strong confirmation (a feeling that it is right) that this change would solve many problems, better fit our times and a world church, and bring us closer to living, or ministering, as the Savior would have us. Yes, these are exciting times!
